The Annual Boatyard Beach Bash is a fundraiser and an evening in paradise. This year's event had more star-power than ever with the addition of Jimmy Buffet's long-time keyboardist Michael Utley. He was joined by Coral Reefer Doyle Grisham, John Frinzi Band and Jim Morris. This diverse collection of talented musicians provided rare access to the Coral Reefers in an intimate setting with the incomparable backdrop of the Chesapeake Bay. The event included a private VIP reception with musicians. In addition to the concert the ticketed event included an extensive grilled buffet catered by the Boatyard Restaurant, and cocktails in our beachside setting.
The 11th annual Boatyard Beach Bash will be held Saturday September 19th, 2015.

The shows are all Maritime or Chesapeake Bay themed to complement the mission of the Museum and generally run for 6-8 weeks. Generally all displayed is for sale with partial proceeds benefitting the Museum.
Winter Lecture Series
Annapolis Oyster Roast & Sock Burning
Celebrate the spring equinox and the beginning of boating season by burning those nasty winter socks! The annual Annapolis Oyster Roast & Sock Burning takes place at the Annapolis Maritime Museum on Saturday March 19th, 2016.
The tradition dates back to the mid-1980's and has been commemorated in 'Ode to Equinox,' which will be recited as the first sock is thrown on the fire.
There is live music by the Eastport Oyster Boys, who entertain with a wide variety of musical styles. A shucking contest provides a chance to show your shucking prowess.
Guests can purchase the People's Choice ticket and participate in an exclusive tasting contest.
Eight local restaurants and catering companies compete to prepare their 'Best Oyster Dish.' For the young at heart, there will be fun activities and exhibits highlighting the area's unique maritime heritage and the importance of the oyster to the health of the Chesapeake Bay. Of course, there will be plenty of oysters – raw and roasted. BBQ, hotdogs, hamburgers, beer, wine and soft drinks are available for purchase.
