Annapolis Maritime Museum Hosts 6th Annual Boatyard Beach Bash Saturday, September 25

The Annapolis Maritime Museum announces the 6th annual Boatyard Beach Bash on Saturday, September 25. Title sponsor, Boatyard Bar and Grill, is partnering with the Museum again this year and will be bringing in former Coral Reefer steel guitar great, Doyle Grisham, along with the John Frinzi Band from Florida, Jim Morris and James “Sunny Jim” White for an evening full of great music on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

Parrot Heads from the mid-Atlantic region, some from as far away as Florida, along with Annapolis and surrounding community residents will enjoy drinks and a grilled buffet dinner provided by the Boatyard Bar and Grill under the stars on the newly renovated Annapolis Maritime Museum campus. “This is a magical waterfront setting for this event,” said Museum Director Jeff Holland. “Not only is this great music, but it’s for a great cause. Over the past five years, the Boatyard Bar and Grill and other sponsors have raised more than $150,000 to rebuild the historic McNasby Oyster Company building and support the education programs that connect our kids with the Chesapeake Bay.”

General admission tickets are $60 per person; VIP tickets are $250, including pre-party festivities and admission for two to the Bash. Tickets go on sale Monday, July 7, and can be purchased online at www.amaritime.org; at the Boatyard Bar and Grill on the corner of Severn Avenue and Fourth Street in Eastport; and the Museum office.

The Annapolis Maritime Museum is located at 723 Second Street in Eastport. From Annapolis City Dock, take Compromise Street across the Spa Creek Bridge, turn left onto Severn Avenue, right onto Second Street and stop at Back Creek. It’s also accessible by water taxi.

The Annapolis Maritime Museum is a 501(C) (3) non-profit educational institution dedicated to preserving and commemorating the maritime heritage of Annapolis and the neighboring waters of the Chesapeake Bay.
