Annapolis Maritime Museum presents Chesapeake Bay Bridal & Event Showcase

The Annapolis Maritime Museum will present the first annual Chesapeake Bay Bridal and Event Showcase on Sunday, October 23, from 2 to 5 p.m. More than 20 local Annapolis-based businesses will be featured, providing every service needed to help plan a family, community or corporate event, including caterers, photographers, and event sailboat charters. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. Visitors will have a chance to win a $50 gift certificate from Bay Ridge Wine & Spirits, and those who book an event at the Museum on that day will receive a 10% discount.

“This will be a wonderful opportunity to see the Museum’s beautiful waterfront setting and get to meet all the people you’ll need to help plan your own special event,” says Star Dodd, an event planner and the Museum’s event coordinator. “There are few places here in America’s Sailing Capital where you can host an event on the water, with a million-dollar view of the Chesapeake Bay. And here, in one afternoon, you can have a glass of wine and meet event planners, caterers, floral designers, entertainers, hair and make-up experts, photographers, rental services providing everything from tents to tables and linens, and even travel agencies -- all in a casual, low-pressure atmosphere. You’ll learn how to move your guests around town in true Annapolitan style, with Discover Annapolis Trollies, limos, eCruisers electric shuttles, or by sailboat.”

Admission is free, but advance registration is recommended. See www.amaritime.org for more information and directions to nearby parking. | flyer
