for the first monthly Sunday Funday!

The Annapolis Maritime Museum’s new “Young Families” group will host the first monthly “Sunday Funday” on Sunday, July 22, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Sunday Fundays are free monthly programs designed for kids and parents alike to enjoy a short Bay related activity followed by time to play in the sand and on the Museum’s waterfront campus with friends. The July event will include seining for Bay critters and building tin foil boats. Families are invited to bring a picnic and enjoy some fun with new and old friends as the kids learn about their maritime heritage and the natural history of the Chesapeake Bay. Admission is free; however, reservations are suggested. Click on www.amaritime.org, email office@maritime.org, or call 410-295-0104 for more information.

About the Annapolis Maritime Museum

The Annapolis Maritime Museum is a 501(C) (3) non-profit educational institution dedicated to educating students and adults on the area’s rich maritime heritage and the ecology of the Chesapeake Bay.

Located on Back Creek, the Museum is a heritage site in the Four Rivers Heritage Area, as well as a site in the Chesapeake Bay Gateways and Water Trails Network and the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail by the National Park Service. The Museum provides a vital connection for residents and visitors—both children and adults—to the area’s natural environment and heritage through a variety of educational and public programs and exhibitions. This past year, more than 2,000 students from public schools in and around Annapolis benefited from the Museum’s education programs.
