Annapolis Maritime Museum presents Six Directions: Starboard Vistas
An exhibition of the work of six artists, influenced by the Chesapeake Bay
and surrounding estuaries
Six Directions brings together a group of women artists from diverse backgrounds, in harmonious collaboration, in order to realize a unified body of work. The Artists’ access to the water inspires them and unites the seafaring theme.
The six artists are Frances Borchardt, Phyllis Dixon, Carol Donahue, Patrice Drago, Gail Higginbotham, and Desiree Holmes Scherini.

All six artists have established themselves through dedication to their craft and have been recognized by the local, regional and national art communities through awards, commendations, and commissions.
Exhibiting as a group, the varied work of Six Directions presents a balanced and cohesive show, with each artist using her own specific medium to capture and represent the theme of the exhibit. “Six Directions: Starboard Vistas” is a natural theme for the group, as each is inspired in her own way by the maritime community that surrounds us.
The exhibit is free and open to the public Thursdays through Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. A portion of art sales will benefit the Annapolis Maritime Museum.
